Immature Granulocytes
Immature granulocytes are neutrophils, eosinophils or basophils that have not fully developed yet. A complete blood count with differential counts each different type of white blood cell and immature blood cells.
Why it matters: A complete blood count is used as part of a routine health exam, to investigate unexplained symptoms such as fever, unintended weight loss, night sweats, bruising, bleeding or fatigue, to monitor an ongoing health condition such as cancer or chronic kidney disease, to monitor how well treatment is working or how a medicine is affecting the body, and to monitor health during pregnancy.
